New photos of work at the Dean Creek Slide on Route 101

The dentist’s drill doesn’t make most of us smile but a subcontractor crew on the huge slide just north of Garberville marked the spots for drilling water drains in the Hill That Ate the Road with Happy Faces. These horizontal drains will hopefully help keep the hillside from ponding and sliding into the roadway again.
