State Parks says work at Whittemore should only take a few hours, should be completed today. According to Brian Merrill of State Parks the work being done at the slip-out area is to make some “minor adjustments” to the road surface and should only take a few hours. They will be shaving off some of the extra rough surface, covering with a gravel layer and re-surfacing. – Estelle

Nancy Grace Culbert: Well, we sat in line for 35 minutes and counted 89 cars coming through from the other direction ( from the west) before we could go through! ‘Glad to know it’s a one day thing. 🙂 ‘so glad that it’s going to be a smoother ride.
